What is a gift registry?
A gift registry is a great way to take the guesswork out of gift giving and get what you really want! Anyone with a cause to celebrate can create a gift registry with Call the Kettle Black. Weddings, baby showers, birthdays, personal achievements...if you want to celebrate it, we do too! It's seriously as easy as 1-2-3; all you have to do is:
- Create an account with us.
- Set up your registry and add items to it.
- Invite your guests to view your registry online!
- Eliminate stress for guests trying to find the 'right' gift.
- Save you time by not having to return unsuitable or duplicate gifts.
- Give guests a variety of price points so they can choose a gift that falls within their budget.
- Make it easier for you to keep track of gifts and send thank you notes after your celebration.
Why should I register with CTKB?

Is there a minimum amount of product I have to register for?
No, there is no minimum amount required to have a registry with us. However, you will get a gift card equal to 10% of all purchases made from your registry, so the more you register, the higher your return potential!
When should I set up a gift registry?
To get the most out of a gift registry, we recommend that you register with us 3-6 months before your event date. This allows you time to browse ourextensive product line and register items, and also gives guests plenty of time to buy gifts before the big day.
How do I set up a gift registry?
You can set up a gift registry online through our website, or in person at any of our stores. Once your account is set up, you can add items to your registry online at your own leisure, or in store with the help of a CTKB staff member.

How can guests send gifts to me?
When purchasing a gift, guests can choose to
- pick up the gift in store;
- ship the gift to their address; or,
- ship the gift to your home address.
If I register Seasonal items, will you put them aside for guests to buy?
Unfortunately we cannot put aside any items. If you register items that we only stock at certain times of the year, we encourage you to let guests know about this time-sensitive window. Please see the chart below for some examples of seasonal items.

How do I notify guests about my gift registry?
After you register with CTKB, we send you an email with login information and a link to your registry. You can notify your guests personally by sharing this link with them.
Alternatively, guests can also find your gift registry online by visiting our website and entering your name and/or registry number in the Gift Registry search.
Once my registry is set up, can I make changes to it?
Yes, you can make changes to your gift registry anytime by logging in to your online account.
Please note that if a guest has already purchased a gift that you no longer want, you must wait until after your event to exchange it.
After a guest makes a purchase, is my gift registry immediately updated?
Your gift registry is instantly updated when a purchase is made online. When a purchase is made in store, we update your registry as soon as the transaction is complete.
How long does my registry remain active?
Your registry is active from the moment you create it and officially closes 30 days after your event date. Guests can still purchase gifts from your registry during this post-event period.
Once your registry is closed, we notify you by email and reveal the gift card amount waiting for you at your nearest CTKB location. (10% of the total purchases made from your gift registry.)
What if I have to cancel or postpone my event?
If you have to cancel or postpone your event please contact us at giftregistry@callthekettleblack.com.
How do I find someone's gift registry?
If you don't have a link to someone's gift registry, you can always search for it on our website.
To find someone's gift registry,
- Go to: http://www.callthekettleblack.com/gift-registry.
- Search for the person by entering their Name or Registry Number.
How do I buy a gift from a registry?
You can purchase a gift from someone's registry online through our website, or in store. If purchasing online, simply,
- Look up the person's registry.
- Choose an item from the gift registry.
- Add the item to your shopping cart.
- Proceed to checkout.
You don't need to create an account with us to make a gift registry purchase.
What are my online payment options?
We use a secure Paypal system to process online transactions. We accept all major credit cards, or you can transfer funds directly from your online bank account (Interac payment). You don't need a Paypal account to make a purchase.
Will you gift wrap my purchase?
If you spend $100 or more we offer complimentary gift wrapping services. Otherwise, gift wrapping is available for a $5.00 fee. Our system will notify you during checkout if your purchase qualifies for free gift wrapping.
As part of our gift wrapping service, we enclose a small card stating who the gift is from. To include a short personalized message with your gift, please enter it in the Special Instructions section during checkout.
Can I still purchase a gift after the event?
You can purchase gifts from a registry up to 30 days after the event date.
What if the gift I purchased is out of stock?
We always try our best to keep store stock up-to-date on our website, but unfortunately cannot guarantee the availability of our products online.
If we're unable to deliver a product because it's out of stock, we will notify you by email at which point you can choose to
- wait for the product to become available; or,
- cancel the product purchase and receive a refund.
Can I return a gift that I purchased?
Yes, you can return or exchange a purchased gift item within 14 days of purchase. Please see our Return Policy for complete details.
What are my shipping options?
When purchasing a gift, guests can choose to
- pick up the gift in store;
- ship the gift to their home address; or,
- ship the gift to the registrant's home address.
What are your shipping rates & schedules?
We currently only ship to Canadian addresses. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Orders are processed within 3-5 days and are shipped via Canada Post. You will receive a tracking number via email once your order has shipped. All orders require a signature upon delivery.

What is your return policy?
For Gifts That You Received
We accept exchanges at any CTKB location up to 30 days after the event date. Items must be unused, in their original packaging, and be accompanied by the original gift receipt.
If you don't find something you want to exchange the item for, we will give you a store credit. Returns for cash refund are not permitted.
For Gifts That You Purchased
We accept exchanges or returns at any CTKB location within 14 days of purchase. Items must be unused, in their original packaging, and be accompanied by the original sales receipt.
One of my gifts arrived damaged. What do I do?
Please bring the item back to any CTKB location for replacement. The item must be unused, in its original packaging, and accompanied by the original gift receipt.
If you can't bring the item back to a CTKB location and would like to mail it instead, please contact us at giftregistry@callthekettleblack.com for further instructions.
