Product of the Week - Dualit Toasters
by Billie Ann Woo

On almost every staff survey – the Dualit toaster was given mention. The cool retro design and hand-craftsmanship caught the eye of many CTKB staffers and it’s easy to understand why. The first Dualit toaster was designed in England in 1946 by Max Gort-Barten. He found success with his invention and was granted government funds to purchase the first factory, which employed his family and neighbors! By the 1960s, the Dualit brand was known all over the UK even found its way on a Royal property! In the 1970s, the company added a designer to update the toaster’s look, of which the essence remains the same today. The Dualit is engineered for at home use, but with a quality of service fit for any commercial kitchen. Each toaster is built by hand with the assembler’s stamp on the base plate. The toasters have accessory options which include a sandwich cage and a warming rack for multipurpose use. The filaments are plated protected which means that they are virtually unbreakable. If you do run into malfunction – the company ensures that each toaster is repairable and will always have replaceable parts.
Want to invest in a toaster that will last you a lifetime? You can’t go wrong with Dualit!
