Tool - Cheese Grater

An often overlooked superhero tool in the kitchen is the cheese grater. I suppose it’s because unless your household makes a lot of pizza, it’s not used very often. But when you need to grate cheese – a grater is your best friend. A box grater is terrific for stability and most (if not all) models have different sized holes for all your grating needs. Remember that a grater can also be used for carrots, onions, tomatoes, potatoes, apples and even chocolate! We love grated cheese in our grilled cheese – we find it makes for a more even (and fast) melt.
Tip: Grate raw potato or apple to dislodge any cheese stuck in the holes.
Trick: A quick spritz of non-stick cooking spray can help cheese sticking and ultimately will help cleaning later.
